My Broadway Debut + Play

I have a couple big dates coming up that I'm scared of. I am singing Never Enough for my broadway show. What if i can't sing? In high school i always wanted to sing. I was in the choir. I know i'm not the next taylor swift but i love to sing. Another thing i am in a play and i like it, but I'm nervous i have a lot of lines, I was in some one acts in high school and i was good at that. The hub has given me personally many opportunities and i love it. I'm scared i won't do good, but Jason believes in me. I CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Beautiful Love Jessica Swainson Nighttime Lily a struggling musician is arriving at a classy club to sing. The restaurant is really nice, there is a grand piano in the middle of the room. The piano player is her older sisters Kate’s fiancé Ryan . Lily is wearing a really nice red dress with nice black shoes. Her hair is really curly. Lily’s future brother in law owns the club, and he’s the piano player. Kate Lily’s older sister enters KATE Lily are you ready for tonight? You worked so hard on this. Ryan and I are so proud of you. Lily looks nervous. Lily I hope people like me, and think I’m good. There are record people coming to see me. Ryan Lil don’t be so nervous. You are as red as your dress. Remember we love you. We will be in the front row cheering for you. You look beautiful. Tommy is a good friend of mine. He told his business partner about you. Lily: I am so nervous, I have tried everything to get a record deal it just doesn’t work. I am handicapped that’s why people don’t take a chance on me. Ryan: Your handicapped has nothing to do with it. People just need to see the beauty in you. I am so proud of you Ryan kisses both girls and goes back to his piano playing. Ryan: Lil I am ready when you are Lily is worried that people will make fun of her. __________________________________________ Dawson a big record producer walks into the restaurant with his best friend Tommy. Dawson works at a big record label Dawson is wearing a really nice suit, with really fancy shoes. He and Tommy sit down at a table. Ryan plays an introduction Lily doesn’t show. He tries again still no Lily Ryan looks at Kate she looks worried Dawson walks to back to use the washroom, but bumps into a terrified Lily. Dawson: Excuse me miss I’m sorry. Lily escapes out the emergency window Meanwhile Ryan and Kate are trying to find Lily Ryan: I have looked everywhere Kate: She’s not in her dressing room. Where could she have gone. Ryan : I will call her. Kate looks worried. Ryan: Don’t worry we will find her. Kate: Where could’ve she go Ryan tries in a panic to get a hold of Lily. Finally after many calls, Lily calls Ryan. Ryan looks at his phone it’s Lily. Ryan to Kate: It’s Lily. Kate: Thank goodness Ryan: Lily where are you? Lily : I went to my apartment. Ryan: We will come to you. Ryan to Kate: Babe, we got to go talk to Lily Kate: Where is she? Is she ok? Ryan: She’s at her apartment. She sounded scared Kate and Ryan rush to Lily’s apartment Ryan and Kate knocks on Lily door. Lily answers the door, she’s upset. They all embrace in a hug. Ryan: Lily what happened?? Lily: I got scared, I just couldn’t do it I was so happy to have this opportunity to share my songs with people, but I got scared. I couldn’t go through with it. What if people don’t respond to me? Are you mad? Kate: No we’re not mad. We are more worried about you. Lily: I get excited about my songs and performing them, but then I get scared. Ryan: Lil you got to take a chance. You worked so hard for this. Life is about taking chances. Kate: Lil I think you should get some sleep. I will stay with you tonight, I don’t want you to be alone. Lily: Thanks sis. Ryan: Ok I’ll see you tomorrow. Ryan kisses Kate Ryan: I love you babe. Kate: I love you to. Ryan: Call if you need anything, love you Lil The next morning, Lily opens her eyes to a beautiful sunrise. Kate goes to check on Lily. Lily is crying Lily comes out of her room with a blanket and snuggles on the couch. She looks exhausted like she didn’t sleep a wink last night. Kate comes to sit with her sister on the couch, with some coffee, she notices that her sister is still upset. Kate: Lily we should talk about last night. Lily lets out a breath. Lily: I don’t want to. Kate: Lily I can tell from looking at you that you, need to talk. Lily starts to get emotional. Lily: I was so excited, but then as soon as it was happening I got scared. I mean have you ever heard of a person with a disability making it. I’m scared of rejection, it hurts I have written so many great songs what if this is my one and only shot. I don’t want it to be my one and only shot. I guess I want to be famous. Kate: You don’t have to be famous, to be loved. You know why people like being around you? It’s your spirit, when you smile the sun gets a little darker because the sun can’t compete. You write beautifully, you write from the heart and, that is what makes your writing so uplifting, and in my opinion people could use that in their lives. Lily starts crying happy tears. Lily: Thanks sis Kate: Now you look exhausted you should get some sleep. Lilly starts towards her room but stops. Lily: Kate will you stay with me until I fall asleep?? Kate: Of course I will. Kate sits on chair in Lily’s room A couple hours later Kate’s phone rings, it’s Ryan. Kate steps out of Lily’s room to answer it. Ryan: Hello Kate ! How’s Lily? Kate: She’s good. I sent her to bed, she was so tired. Ryan: Did you talk about last night? Kate: Yes we did. Ryan: How did it go? Kate: It went ok, she was so broken up about it. I think we are going to spend some time together. Ryan: Kate I think she needs to spread her wings and fly Kate: I agree she needs to have self confidence in herself. As much as I love her she needs to have experiences for herself. Ryan: She needs to discover herself Kate: She will. A few hours later Lily wakes up feeling a bit better about herself. Lily walks into the living room to sit on the couch. Kate: How are you Lil? Lily: I feel a bit better, that sleep really helped. Kate: You know Ryan and I love you, but you need to experience life for yourself. Lily: Your right, I need to have experiences for myself. I can’t hide anymore. I just need self confidence. Kate: I think if you put your music you could surprise yourself by how people, react they are beautiful songs Lil. I’m proud. Lily: I’m scared people won’t like them. Kate: Lil have faith in people. Life is about taking risks in life. You have talent believe in yourself. I believe in you. Lily: I love writing them, but I am scared of getting them out there Kate: Lil have faith in people. Kate: You should get some fresh air. Lily: I don’t want fresh air. Kate: Lil you can’t just lie down on the couch, go for a walk it would be good for you. It’s a nice sunny day. Lily: Ok I will do it. Lily goes back to her room, she throws on some sweatpants and a purple hoodie. Lily goes outside. She closes her eyes to take in the fresh air. She walks really slow. She walks into this beautiful garden, because this garden has always given her inspiration. It’s is filled with flowers, it has always made Lily feel safe. After sitting for a bit, she continues to walk to her favorite coffee shop, she orders a snack. On her way feeling down about herself, she finds a poster in the window, advertising for an open mic night at a small pub. Suddenly Lily starts to have this burst of excitement. This is exactly what she needed. Lily rushes home to tell Kate. Lily walks in the door. Lily: Kate! Kate! I had a great walk, something happened. Kate: What happened? Lily: I was walking feeling sad, so I walked into this coffee shop the one that we go to, and I saw this sign for a singer. Kate: Lily this is wonderful, see I told you can do things for yourself. Lily: I’m really excited about it. Kate: When is it? Lily: It is later this month. Kate: Well you better start preparing. Lily goes to her room to write. Kate phones Ryan. Ryan picks up, he sees it is Kate. Ryan: Hello my love Kate: Ryan Lily did it. She found an opportunity. Ryan: That’s wonderful! I knew she could. Ryan: I am going to talk to Dawson and Tommy. Kate: I think that might be a good idea. Kate: Hey Lily I think you should wear your red dress, you looked stunning. Lily: Yes I think your right, in the mean time I should write some songs, Lily starts preparing for her big debut. She writes and writes. She is proud of her writing. She starts believing in herself again. She practices her singing. Finally, the big night arrives, and Lily shows up to the coffee shop with confidence in a beautiful red dress. She is ready for her debut. Lily walks on stage and starts to sing. She sees Dawson watching her they lock eyes she smiles at him and she starts to sing.

Canada Day

I am so blessed to live in this wonderful beautiful country. I love all my friends that i have. The book is going awesome i am at 70 pages.
