Before Birth
In splendor and gloom,
In peril and bloom.
In weakness defeat and in righteous victory,
The Savior is there in everyone's story.
A sinless man who suffered most,
A man who always did right was then nailed to a post.
His blood, His tears, fell for us all,
That we through Him may overcome the fall.
"Father, am I worth enough that someone would suffer for me?
Am I who was in His heart when he bled in Gethsemane?
Am I Thy child of eternal worth?"
"Yes, my dear, Thou hast been mine since before birth."
